Bengal Gas Company limited (BGCL), joint venture company of Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) and Greater Calcutta Gas Supply Corporation plans to commence Piped Natural Gas (PNG) by September 2026.
The pipeline is to be laid in Chandannagar along one-kilometre stretch near Kolkata Airport between gate 2.5 and gate 1. BGCL is likely to start supply of PNG by September 2026 and targets to provide 10,000 household connections in 2026.
