Juno Joule Bio Fuels has commenced construction of its compressed biogas (CBG) cluster in Narmetta, Siddipet district of Telangana.
The project involves development of ten CBG plants of 10 tonnes per day (tpd) capacity each, totalling 100 tpd, at an investment of Rs 7 billion. In the first phase, three 10 tpd units are to be developed at an investment of Rs 2.10 billion, with production expected to commence by May 2027. The remaining phases are expected to be completed by 2030.
The project is being implemented under the Government of India’s (GoI’s) CBG-City Gas Distribution (CGD) Synchronisation Scheme, with offtake agreements in place with GAIL (India) Limited and Bhagyanagar Gas Limited (BGL) for integration into the Hyderabad region’s CGD network.
