Local Self Government Department, Kerala conducted Early Market Engagement (EME) process for implementation of 30 tpd Changanassery Bio-CNG Plant in Kottayam, Kerala along with 5 Gramp Panchayats within 10 km radius on August 13, 2025. The EME process aims to gather insights, assess market interest, and refine procurement strategies to ensure competitive bidding. KSWMP seeks experienced technology providers, equipment suppliers, collection and transportation service providers for contractors for designing, constructing, installing and operating regional Bio CNG plants, including commercial banks and financial institutions.
The project will be implemented on Design, Build and Operate (DBO) mode.
The project is funded by the consortium of World Bank, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) and Government of Kerala, through Local Self Government Department.
