Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL) has increased the prices of compressed natural gas (CNG) by Rs 1.5 per kg and piped natural gas (PNG) by Rs 1 per standard cubic meter (scm) in Mumbai metropolitan region, with effect from April 9, 2025.
The revised CNG price stands at Rs 79.5 per kg while PNG stands at Rs 49 per scm.
The prices have been increased due to hike in domestic gas prices and fluctuations in the exchange rate.
MGL is one of the country’s natural gas distribution companies. It has a natural gas distribution network in Mumbai and its adjoining areas and is promoted by GAIL (India) Limited.
