Kozhikode Corporation is planning to establish compressed biogas (CBG) plant in collaboration with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) at Njeliyanparamba in Kerala.
BPCL is expected to lease 2 acres of land for 20 years and would fully fund the project
The plant will have the capacity to process 150 tonnes per day (tpd) organic waste for CBG production and could take up to two years to be completed.
