A total of seven firms have submitted bids for mainline laying and combined station works for natural gas pipeline for Tiruvallur-Bangaluru section under the Ennore-Tuticorin Natural Gas Pipeline. These include Apra Infraprojects, Bridge and Roof Company (India) Limited, Likhitha Infrastructure Private Limited, Mastek Engineering Private Limited, AMP Infra Private Limited, NRP Projects Private Limited and Tolani Projects Private Limited. Bids for the same were invited by Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) in July 2024.
The work is expected to be completed in nine months.
The project involves laying of 1,385 km natural gas pipeline of 24” OD, 383.42 km from IP-101 (Palliyagram) to IP-104 (Madurai), 18” OD, 95.5 km from IP-104 (Madurai) to IP-105 (Ramanthapuram), 16” OD, 280.38 km from Thiruvallur to Bengaluru and 14” OD, 37.31 km Puducherry Branchline including associated sectionalisation valve (SV) station, receipt terminal (RT) cum emergency control station (ECS) and intermediate pigging (IP) station works in the states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Puducherry. The initial capacity of the line will be at least 35 million standard cubic meters a day (mmscmd) expandable upto 84.67 mmscmd in 25 years.
