Share of natural gas in energy mix likely to increase to 8.6 per cent by 2050

Reportedly, the share of natural gas in the energy mix is likely to increase to 8.6 per cent in 2050. It was about 5 per cent in 2022. 

Besides, the country’s energy consumption is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3 per cent from 2022 to 2040.
