75.52 per cent work has been completed on the North-East Natural Gas Pipeline Grid Project.

IGGL and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) have entered into three hook-up agreements to connect ONGC’s natural gas fields i.e. Jorhat, Silchar, and Tripura assets to the North East Gas Grid (NEGG) for the transportation of natural gas.

The North-East natural gas pipeline grid involves development, Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of a natural gas pipeline connecting eight states viz. Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura at an investment of Rs 100 billion. It is being implemented by IGGL, a joint venture (JV) company of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), GAIL (India) Limited, Oil India Limited (OIL) and Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL).
