In the Latur city of Maharashtra, a project of supplying cooking gas through the pipeline has been launched in the Marathwada region by the local civic body. Initiated by Latur Municipal Corporation and rolled out by Ashoka Gas, the project is supplying piped cooking gas to 101 houses on a pilot basis. The state is focusing on the use of green energy and will try to run the boilers of sugar factories on compressed natural gas. Moreover, the piped cooking gas project has been inaugurated. Further, works for a project of converting waste into energy will commence in the city soon, using the energy generated for industrial purposes.
