Vadodara Gas Limited (VGL) increased the prices of piped natural gas (PNG) supplied to domestic customers in the city by Rs 8.05, from Rs 35.65 per cubic meter to Rs 43.70 per cubic meter, effective from April 1, 2022. This is the second price hike by the city gas distribution company in over a month. Earlier on March 25, 2022, it had increased prices of domestic PNG from Rs 29.61 to Rs 35.65 per cubic meter. Company’s decision to increase prices has affected around 0.2 million consumers in the city. VGL is a joint venture company between by Vadodara Municipal Corporation and GAIL Gas Limited.
